I'm not a TVR owner, but a huge fan.
Why am I not an owner? I live in Auckland, and for some reason (failed crash test, I believe) Tuscan's are not roadworthy here. If I import one, I can only use it for track days - not really a sensible option considering the cost. Also, poor dealer representation here. I went to test drive a GRiffith a few weeks ago at the only delaer in the country. They had two - a Chimp and a Griff. Neither would start (flat batteries) - unbelievable lack of interest!
One question though, when released, Peter Wheeler made the point that the Tuscan was to be a usable every day car (this was the car Jeremy Clarkson described as the scariest thing on 4 wheels). The Red Rose package was then offered, followed by the revised standard model (with the 3.6 engine) and the S with the revised body work (and price).
I haven't seen any comment yet on the comparison of the two models. The glowing report in the Evo comparison a month or two ago appeared to be the original model.
Has anyone seen anything on the "more refined" smaller engined model which retains the beautiful styling without the tacky gurney?
