Oil pressure sensor, VDO compatible ?

Does anyone know if the oil pressure sensor for a 1993 4.3 Griffith is VDO compatible. I would like to replace the sensor for a VDO version.
The thread seems to be 1/8 NPTF, i haven't unscrewed it yet, can anyone confirm that this is the right thread.
