Yep I agree with you rick.e I am with Sunninghill they were the only one's I could get any sense out of.The other companies (no names mention) were not interested in even giving me a qoute and will never have my business in the furure.Good luck.

Just goes to show what attention to customer service will do for your business.

Sunninghill as well - they got me good cover (haven't tested it yet though) and a competitive price. Malcolm & Andy are enthusiasts themselves and are great to deal with.

Nice to see an insurance broker giving the same sort of personal and knowledgeable service as we get from independent specialists for servicing and repairs.

Used Sunninghill in the past, but currently Peart are the best for me - second year running. Me age 46 full NCD, 3 points (expired last year) - Car a '99 Griff 500, limited mileage (3000 p/a), track-day cover included foc. all for under £500. Sunninghill couldn't match this quote when I asked. Rich...

Rich,

That's well interesting, do have any idea how much the limited mileage took off your premium. I'm with Direct Line and paid around £550 for 10,000 mpa.

Cheers,

Simon.

Wow on the face of it your seems a good deal, I have no idea of the reduction for limited mileage - I will ask next year. I do know however that post code plays a big part and unfortunatly I live in a dodgy SL code area - i.e. the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Rich...

I took 5000 mile restriction off my policy halfway through last year when mileage was building up too fast. Cost me extra £210 for unlimited mileage. Probably would have been more economical if done when starting policy though.

Tesco/Direct Line sites were useful. You can play with the conditions and see what effect it has on quotes. I'm with AJ Manning though.

I had no idea that the mileage restriction was worth that much, you've got me going now I do around 6,000 pa so it might be worth dropping the policy to 8,000 if they'll do it.

Cheers,

Simon.

Not at A Manning, it's 5,000, or unlimited. Other companies have different limits but don't expect any more than 6,000 to be classed as a restricted mileage policy. Sunninghill do a 6,000 (from memory).
Renewal is now due for me & Mannings told me mileage restriction = 25% discount when doing it from the outset, so I did pay over the odds last year.
