griff wheel geometry set up-need recommendation
Discussion
anyone know where i can get my griffs geometry set up not too far from where i live in the forest of dean(within 40 miles or so)?my local tyre depot who were very good have just replaced their current wheel alignment system with one that only does camber on front and just checks that rear wheels are in line.id like to find a place where they take the time and care to get it set as accurately as poss, not just"its ok cos the figures in the computer have turned green mate'like most places near me are if you know what i mean.cheers-mv
I cant help with a local garage to you but, if you are looking to get the geometry set up its best to get a shop that uses laser alignment as its more accurate.
Also i'd advise whoever you choose to do the job is familiar with TVRs so if their is a problem with the chassis its picked up on.
1 degree neg on the front works best for me, its worth playing around with a few settings and seeing how the car works best.
Mine cost £100 a year ago to have done so you should be looking for around that price.

guilty! that was me, said to the wife I'd be 5 minutes getting petrol & returned about 55 minutes later, after having a run out for the hell of it!
I blame you. I saw ( & heard ) your 500 burbling its way through Billericay High St on Saturday & I was itching all day to get out for a run in mine.
Nice Wheels, by the way!
Wouldn't mind having a look at it sometime.
PS - Don't keep your car so clean, you put mine to shame!
PPS - It made me glad to own a griff seeing & hearing yours.
Much more exclusive than a Boxster.
