£17k 98 (S) Griff 500
Discussion
Certainly looks a bargain as you say. Bet it's on a CAT C/D. Their website ([url]www.norfolka2z.co.uk/spixworthcarcentre.htm[/url) doesn't mention it either, and they seem to target lower cost vehicles. Certainly worth a look for someone after a Griff though (bit late for both of us!)
The cars immediately below and above (in price) of that Griff in autotrader would seem to suggest that it's a good price - unless the others are overpriced of course! I suppose, as with any sale, it's worth what people will pay for it. After looking for a Griff recently, I've have been prepared to pay that for it (all things being equal)!!! Having said that, I'm happy with what I bought.

There is a couple of Griffs and a Tuscan on here www.qualitysalvage.net/

That black Griff has been there for well over 9 months, the Tuscan's been there a while too, but who's gonna buy a damaged repaired Tuscan for 24500 grand when you can pick them up mint for 26000?
honest answer: I don't know. However, it would largely depend on who was going to do it, and where you source parts from. As the car has been there 9 months, chances are bits have disappeared in the mean time whilst others will have corroded. Even if you did it yourself and it cost a couple of grand, you still wouldn't be able to sell it on for much more that the total outlay. If it was worth doing, chances are someone would have bought it before now!
I reckon the 97 one for £11.8k doesnt look to dissimiliar to the damage of mine, i prehaps had a bit more body damage on the nearside, They reckon around 13k to fix mine, ok labour is in there too.
And its so hard to tell what other damage is gone on underneath just looking at the pics.
I am sure if u know a good FG worker and thats the majority of the damage then u could get it done quite cheap if u have the time.

Agree the Tuscan is a bit steep. and the other Griff

I saw the black one when it first came on sale, at something like 13.8k if I remember. It's since lowered to 11.8k, maybe they'll take a sub 10k offer for it as it's been there so long, let's say 9.5k. It's had a bang up the O/S arse, windscreen damage, foglights are gone, so radiator damage? If so how many times in the last 9 months has it been started for prospective buyers with no water in it? Heads? Then there's the bent front wishbones, something has damaged it from underneath, so what about sump? O/S Door window smashed, O/S fibreglass damage, is the chassis bent? Headlamps and covers?
...and whatever else needs replacing due to being stood for so long outside, seized calipers? Discs? pads?
It all adds up and before you know it your at 15k, didn't Prince Charming buy a mint P reg 500 for 15.5k?
Then it's cat D, so re-sell?
If you wanted to repair one to keep it then fine, but cut out the middle man, and get them from the salvage auctions like www.universal-salvage.co.uk like they do. I saw a Griff 500 go for 6.5k on there and then I saw it the next week at a salvage dealer for 10k!
I missed out on a lovely XK8 for 6500 with light front panel damage the other week! , because of my commitments in the US, and they don't take Mastercard DOH

I was interested in the tuscan had a mate of mine hpi it comes up as a write off not sure what class? also its had lots of plate changes a few years back this would have been enough to disguise the fact it was written off now it automaticly checks other reg nos the car is infact a 2001 Y plate probable worth 18k?
The griff at quality salvage for 11.8 has probably been there for over a year, I first saw it advertised in feb 02. Well over priced and think what has happened to the car while its been standing. Wouldnt touch it with a barge pole at that price.
