Had the Griff a year now, and last night let my lad take it for a spin by himself for the first time.

Having only heard the beast from the driver's (occasionally passenger's) seat, I had never heard it on the move as a spectator. It sounded even more amazing as it growled its way into the distance. Unreal. Amazing. No wonder people turn and stare (I had thought it was just car/driver's good looks).

My mate and I did swapped cars the other week for 5 minutes, I drove his S2000 past him and he did the same for me in the Griffith - I was pretty blown away by the sound of mine - it sounds a lot louder than when you're driving, doesn't it!? - we did a 2 mile or so circuit round a couple of local roads and I could hear him all the way

edited to say: nothing like hearing your car going past you at full chat in 3rd!

Oh yes!

Why, did it drive itself off a cliff or something?

likewise at Bruntingthorpe at 6K RPM 5th. From where I was it was all, ahem, wind noise. Not that it was that scary.

Maybe Modwise or such like could develope and market an exhaust sound system with a small mike between the tailpipes and the sound fed back into the cockpit via the stereo system.

I let another PHer behind the wheel of mine last week, while I was passenger. Pretty boring really

Yep and it does sound tasty! Chap at Bedford wanted to do a drive by noise check before he would give me a green sticker so off he went, a couple of laps later all was ok. Boy did it sound good - Rather like Concorde I prefer to call it "sound" not noise! Rich...
