idle battery life in cold
Discussion
Whilst on holiday for the past two weeks, I was worried that if the weather got really cold back at home that the battery on my griff would run down quicker than normal. It happened on my previous car last Dec when it was idle for about 3 weeks but this is obviously a real problem on the griff as you can't get in the thing if the battery is dead (unless you attack via the rear number plate method, which doesn't look to easy to me). My question is therefore what is the safest length of time the car can be left idle before the battery dies and you are locked out? I realise weather is a factor but is the alarm system quite draining on the battery? Can you lock the car without arming the alarm? Thanks.
