Fuel pump not working
Discussion
I jumped in the car hoping to enjoy the bank holiday weekend, only to find that the 2 second whirring noise which the fuel pump normally makes when the ignition is switched on was conspicuously absent. Needless to say the car would not start, even though the engine was happy to be turned over by the battery without actually firing. Any ideas? I tried the usual stuff of leaving it for a bit then coming back / re-alarming and then disarming, and using the manual immboliser key, but still no joy.
The same thing happened to my Griffith 4.3 last summer.
I checked all the usual - fuses, relays, etc. Even removed the immobiliser. All seemed fine but I changed all fuses anyway, - the relays were clicking in and out so I thought they were OK. Wrong.
Spent ages hunting, etc. Cut a long story short. Turned out to be the relay for the fuel injection - there's two 5 pin relays in the loose loom beside the ECU. Even though they both clicked I replaced them with correct relays (£18 + VAT each) and all systems were go again.
So first thing I would advise is get a new (correct part) 5 pin relay (Land Rover part).
Hope you get sorted quickly.

Had the same thing on my 4.3 Chimaera. One of the relays in the footwell did not like the damp. Managed to dry it out with a hairdryer as a limp home repair.
Another possibility is the fuses on the footwell loom. Make sure they are completely dry as I have also has a problem with them.

Have you checked the pump itself? I've had the lead knocked off before now on a dirt tract that I really shouldn't have been driving down... in France! Yikes! The car just cut out.
Also this is another connector that seems to corrode, so give it a clean.
Whoever designed the wiring on these cars should be shot.
