Last month I picked up my new Griff SE (no. 70/100). It's great to be back having stepped out of my last Chimaera some 4 years ago. I've enjoyed following the 'Griff gassing' for a couple of months now and thought that someone may be able throw some light on a question I have.

I've struggled to feel confident when turning into a fast corner at speed. It feels as if the front end doesn't want to bite into the tarmac and turn-in. I thought it may be falling off the tread (it's running SO2's) so I've tried to drop the pressures by a few pounds but it made no difference.

Anyone experienced similar when stepping out of a Chim into a Griff. ??

What size tyres, how much tread on them, what pressures are you running? Have you ever had a geometry check? Poor turn-in sometimes just means the front dampers are too stiff or the rear too soft, but wrong tyre pressures, wrong geometry etc can also cause this.

you can't rely on the cars coming out of the factory with the geo all set up, it sounds like it needs a tweak, the last 100 are as good as they come and should not give any concerns handlingwise

GreenV8S / Apache, Thanks for the feedback. I think a geo check is top of the list

Think you'll also find it better when the tyres have fully 'scrubbed' in. Maybe after about 300 miles.
