Griffith Rear Lights...
Discussion
Hello,
I've just had my Griff 500 come back from the bodyshop after a light rear end knock.
The car looks brilliant except for one thing, they've fitted the earlier non-tinted precat rear lights. Whilst it's probably not much in the scheme of things I want the 'proper' tinted Griffith 500 lights fitted as it was before the accident.
However the dealer is saying that the tinted later lights are no longer available and the only ones available are the earlier lights.
Can anyone confirm this before I spend the day phoning round. Does anyone know the factories number?
Cheers,
Graham
PS. It may be me being cynical but the work involved to fit the proper lights would be to crack out the existing ones, refit the new ones, bond them in, and respray.

Bugger, thing is if I did find some would the dealer then be obliged to fit them (it was a third party insurance job), as they have fitted what was supplied/available from TVR at the time.
Anyone tried those boyracer tinting kits you can get from Halfords?
Cheers,
Graham

Thanks for all the replies. I checked with the factory and as mentioned in one of the replies they no longer make them.
I will give a couple of Vauxhall dealers a call tomorrow and see what I can come up with.
The trouble is I don't know if the dealer would be willing to stump up to have the tinted ones fitted even if I can find some. If it was a mistake and they could still get the tinted ones then they should replace them, however as they are no longer available from TVR I'm not sure where I would stand on this.

The tinted ones have not been around for some considerable time (almost a couple of years), which means that all of the later Griffiths, up to the last 100, had the non-tinted lenses as did the 4.x '92 and early G500 cars.
I think I have some tinted ones (ex-Afterburner conversion) somewhere.
Make me an offer and you can have a pair.
