How much pedal travels is normal on the brake pedal, I am getting about 1-1.5" before anything happens. I have pressure bled the brakes, new fluid, calipers and braided hoses. Pumping the pedal makes no difference although there is a pronounced wheezing from the servo probably` during the first 1-1.5" of freeplay. Is this normal?

That's not much travel. Mine wheezes a little if I get into the footwell and listen carefully too - it's only an 'internal' wheeze though.. I think they all do that ... hope so.
BTW. Not sure if it would be a reason, but check your vacuum hose isn't split/worn out/collapsing. On the Chimaera there are a few points where is can rub through.

When you bleed the brakes make sure that you firstly remove any vaccum left by pressing the brake pedal a few times until it stops wheezing, then bleed the system.
This happened to me recently and I couldnt work it out even with new disks and pads fitted, this trick cured all.
