Sorry pics arnt great (sack the photographer) but it should give you an idea.
This bonnet was designed by Julian @ Fibreon.
Personally I think its stunning and the amount of heat it releases is superb.
(not so good in winter, but summers just arround the corner)clap

The look takes a bit of getting used to, but i think it will greatly improve ventilation and reduce underbonnet heat. I would love to hear how it works out in the summer heat.

I like the look of it. A higher shot from a central position of the front would be good to see

and polish them alloy door bars

Personally I think it ruins the flow of the lines, but it's well executed. Also, would it look and function better vented both sides?

Pretty sure it is vented on both sides.

Is it GRP or CF?

thumbup Wow you seem to like it.
It is vented both sides and its GRP.
Have spoken to Julian @ Fibreon (mine was free.... sorry guys)
1st one.(guinea pig) www.damagedtvrs.co.uk
He says they should come in at about £275.00 + vat
Thats unpainted ready to prep. Not bad considering a bonnet is £500.00 aprox
All I did was fit Ali Mesh beneath the vent holes. It looks the dogs b.....ks!!!!
Will post better pics ...soon as weather permits...xmas

Excellent! Isn't Tim at ACT developing something along those lines in CF?

Yep, and it'll be out soon. it has extra clearance for underbonnet mods too.
it'll be more expensive, but in CF, very lightweight and ultra strong.
the modded fibre bonnets tend to be quite heavy, due to all the filler/matching etc...but that looks top, and if its been moulded that great value too.

expect an ACT press release in the next fortnight on the monster pages...or on here .

It has been moulded and the weight is about the same as the original bonnet

Is it going to be a show weave or is it to be painted?

I really like the look of that. The cooling would benefit from going even bigger, but the aesthetics matter too.

When I went to the Sunday Thunder at Rockingham last year, there was a red Griff (I think turbo'd) with all sorts of side vents, front and rear diffusers and, a similarly vented bonnet. It looked the mutts nuts. The vents looks narrower and more chim like than this one tho, and imo didn't effect the Griffs lines/curves at all.

I've been toying with the idea of doing the same ever since, so would be very interested.

If this is the same bonnet that was made up at Austec then initially when I saw it I didn't like the look of it but the photos seem to show it in a good light ....

Definitely interesting to try and help the under bonnet temps but I wouldn't want to ruin the standard look of the outside of my Griff.

Nice colour Griff BTW

The one at Austec is ours, as described by Guillotine, re-shaped & 20mm deeper to allow for serious induction mods. we have one finished and Austec are fitting it to the first customers car. it will be painted this week so after then we will be able to do the press release, we will probably only produce them in pre-preg carbon fibre and they will probably only appeal to the customers with seriously modified cars.
