All,

Here are dsome questions that you may be able to help with:-

How can I remove the switch panel to disconnect the useless ice warning led, or is there a simpler way

How easy is it to replace the drop links on the roll bars, thew appear to be worn, there are no rubber boots on the ball joints, is this normal

Zertec or Leven alloy bits?

you could cut the detector head off and solder a link in...much easier than removing the panel I should think. Puzzled about ball joints and rubber boots, don't seem to have any of those

Re roll bars, On the front roll bar there is a ball joint where the drop link connects to the roll bar, I think. You may be right about the rears though

On the V8S the top of the drop link is a big soft bush pushed onto the end of the anti-roll bar, and a horrible rubber ball joint affair where the drop link bolts onto the wishbone. I think they were cr*p when they were new. It is straightforward to replace this rubbery stuff with a drop link using rod end bearings.
