I haven't got the invoice at hand but I'm sure I payed about £90 +VAt for 225 S03's. This was in Essex. I also got the wheels refurbed at the same time, they took ages but did a good job . The tyre shop did try to convince me to fit Toyos, but I stuck with OEM.
With reference to all the previous threads that I've seen concerning road holding etc, I can only say that they seem fine to me.

But if you fitted S03s then they weren't OEM. And who cares about fine, we want excellent.

Gizze,

where in Essex did you get them?

OEM = Original equipment manufacturer, which was Bridgestone not Toyo, and I assume that S01 has evolved into S03 via S02. So I've kept as close as I can to what was originally fitted.
I got mine at Rochford Tyres 01702 545689. And I got the price wrong, they were even cheaper - £79.95 + Vat.
Nice company to deal with.

Gizze,

thanks for that.

It's a deal, it's a steal. It's the sale of the ******* century.

Indeed - I was going to say something but didn't want to rub salt in the wound! How on earth did you get conned into paying that much per tyre? Rich...

Jesus - just rang the AA tyre service and they quoted £430 for a pair of 245/45 S03s. Even bloody Kwik fit can beat that price but they are still £360 (for S02s)

Anyone got any good tips on where to source tyres in Windsor/Maidenhead/Slough area?

Cheers

Slough Tyres - Farnham Road, good prices (say they'll match Micheldever).
Bath Road Tyres, near B&Q (behind PictureTel) - not quite as cheap, but good guys.
Bracknell Tyres, next to the rubbish dump - the best I've found.

Well, Bracknell tyres are the boys alright. £114 per tyre. Slough tyres quoted £148, so even they are very competitive compared to AA / Kwik Fit. How the hell can the AA quote DOUBLE the price?

Right - off to Bracknell at the weekend. Is it still a concrete maze of roundabouts? Must be 15 years since I was there last.

Thanks guys

Bracknell is the same armpit of the universe as ever. Just follow the signs to the rubbish dump and you'll find Bracknell Tyres. I'd suspect they are very busy on a Sat though. It's handy working around the corner from them ...

They couldn't help me with decent prices on Toyo Proxies though (225/45 x 16 and 245/45 x 16). Anyone know of a competitive priced local Toyo supplier?

I was in the process of buying the car and this company were looking over it - I won't ask how much a pair of rear shocks should have cost.......
