Engine sounds

Just came back from holiday in Italy did 3000 miles no problems. Oil consumption about 1litre in 2000 miles. Handling is perfect thanks to Intrax shocks and new bushes and rubbers. Can do 150 miles per hour with one hand on the steering wheel. Handling used to be very bad was afraid to drive faster than 120 miles per hour was really dangerous now it is safe. Renewed the brakes(just ford stuff), renewed everything and put some racing pads in. Now it really does stop. When the cengine is cold i hear some engine noises it all stops what the engine got warm i suspect that piston tolerance is big and it all works out when engine gets warm. I wonder does TVR use (i do not know the correct english word) racingpistons. What piston tolerance do they use. When engine gets warm i do not hear anything at all. Did 3500 miles in italy no problems at all.
