How many 4.3's made

Now that my Griff 4.3 awaits me (pick it up in a couple of weeks) I was idly wondering how many 4.3's were made - I've heard several suggestions - anyone know?

About 50% of the 4.x were 4.3s - about 300.

and undoubtably alot fewer left around now.

About 5% per annum are scrapped mainly through accidents.

Not mine! 4.3BV ought for 18.5K, repaired for 17.3K. I've got to say that apart from the initial arsing around when they told me the car was only worth 12K, and I got the local dealer to write to them saying it would cost 19K to replace, Norwich Union did me proud.
