...If your getting a new chassis then your getting half a new car basically... ..as long as the fibre-glass is repaired correctly and is carried out by a recognised outfit I dont see why you should have any worries... ..the chassis is in fact made in 3 pieces which are finally all pieced together in a jig and welded... ..some people believe that its possible to remove the damaged section and replace it with an undamaged section from another chassis, of course this is possible but the pitfalls are enormous if its not all in allignment...not to mention insurance legality... ..its true that TVR dont repair damaged chassis, why? because you cant repair tubulars, they have to be replaced with new and if you look at the design of the chassis you'll see that if you bend one piece the chances are high that the whole alignments out front and back.. ...and if anyone tells you that they can straighten tubular chassis on a hydraulic or manual analignment jig, run for your life... ...TVR's chassis are unbelievebly strong for their very light weight and personally I believe one of the best designed chassis of all time due to simplicity and weight balance... ..phone TVR up and ask Daniella on the front desk to put you in touch with their Accident & Repair dept who will tell you that you need an exchange chassis, then sit down and ask "how much ?"... ..alternalely get in touch with Global TVR Systems near Cambridge who salvage TVR,s and normally have a chassis on the shelf along with their Cosworth 4x4 conversion chassis... ..good luck..
