As of this week that nice man My Ingleby (who seems to be a busy man) is helping me to find my first TVR and hopefully a Griff 500 will be sitting in my garage very soon.

Been reading some of the threads on here about taking it easy and this rings a bell with me because I haven't owned a car in over 5 years and that was an Astra GTE which was fine in a straight line but suicidal round corners!

Test drove a Griff over christmas though so know what to expect!!

Can't wait.

If you havent had a car for 5 years then you will have lost your no claims wouldnt you? Surely this may be a minor problem when it comes to insurance.

As with all of these cars the problem will come when you THINK you know what to expect .
Rob will find you good un, not so sure of a couple of weeks though, unless the market is flush with good cars at the moment.

Just like to add that Rob is looking for A Griff at the moment for me as well!!! He's a busy man and the market is rather sparse at the moment....

Yeah I thought the no no claims bonus would be a problem and add to the fact that I'm 27 was expecting astronomical insurance but I've been quoted £840 which seems pretty good to me!!!

Where did you get that quote?! It makes mine look like the national debt of a 3rd world country, but it's up for renewal soon so i'd like to change!

I got the quote from Sunninghill Insurance who I found on here but to save you the time their phone number is 01276 48 60 86.

Was glad to get that quote to say the least as the cheapest price I'd had elsewhere was £1450 from Tesco and the most expensive was over £3500!!!

Couple of things though, that quote was based on mileage limited to 6,000, kept in a garage etc.

If your looking for insurance on a second car i would try Heritage.I'm 25 and got a quote for £670 fully comp , track day cover, RAC breakdown, because it's a second car they did'nt need any no claims, limited mileage though (5000) .
