Does anybody know the best place to get a walnut veneer that will be good enough to use as a replacement dashboard i.e. one that you can cut and shape without breaking up?

I'm considering the same job - I found a website that sells all sorts of real/fake walnut (mdf base) as well as other finishes (aluminium/carbon fibre) called Europa Spares.

www.europaspares.com (might be in Oily Pages also)

only concern I have is the thicknesses that are listed. maybe it can be planed down?

Andy.

Dunno, but I think the normal stuff is about as think as a piece of paper, stuck onto a base (metal as standard in TVRs). Tower View advertise that they can veneer practically anything, maybe they can put you in touch with a supplier or even arrange to get the work done for you?

Try Anita Marquetry (www.marquetry.co.uk). I haven't used them but they were recommended to me.
