No go..........

Help needed !!!
Went to start the car this morning but the battery was D.E.A.D. in a big way. I put it on charge for a few hours and then tied to start the beast. The engine turns over no problem but it will not fire.
I took out a plug to see what was happening, connected it to the HT lead and it sparing so guess the ignition is working.
I can smell fuel in the exhaust and I disconected the fuel line from the injector rail, plenty of fuel pressure
I've got fuel and a spark, so why won't it go !!
Any suggestions welcome.....

ecu is not turning injectors on...no fuel to cylinders?
are the plugs getting fuel (wet)
if not, the favourite would be lamda sensors.
if they are, then there maybe no air...stepper motor?
try resetting ecu (remove plug for 10 mins).
ps
flat battery may have dipped it (ecu). disconnecting should return to factory settings.
good luck

Sounds like you have fuel and spark ie the main ingredients. Check the condition of the plugs. Also, how many alarms / immobilisers does the car have, and how many did you reset after restoring battery power?
