Moved into a new house just before Christmas only to discover I have a couple of things in common with my new neighbour. Firstly we are both called Graham (all be it different spelling), and secondly out of his garage reversed a gorgeous Griff 500. I can go 6 months without seeing another Griff and now my new next door neighbour has one! Apparently there is a Cerbera and Tuscan in the area too.

My girlfriend finds it very amusing, currently getting a lot of ribbing about washing cars on a Sunday!

Hello Graeme if you are a Pistonheader!

That must be great to have someone just next door for those evening blasts and driveway banter

Yes, look forward to it once the decent weather arrives. Rather embarrisingly though the neighbours looks much cleaner than mine, think I need to spend some time on it. Still one of the reason's I bought the new house was because it had a garage, the cars been living outside since I've owned it (4 years) so should be able to keep it clean now. Time to splash out on some Zymol (spelling?) I think.

Graham - your Griff has been kept outside for 4 years?!

Interesting stuff - I am looking into the pro's (none) and cons (not sure how bad) of keeping a Griff outside as I no longer have access to a garage. Do you use an all weather cover or take any precautions?

Yes, that's right. I used to live in a flat so didn't have any covered parking for the car.

I made sure I used Fabsil (tent water proofer - paint on version) on the hood a couple of times a year but thats all, didn't bother with a cover. I've never seen or felt any water ingress even in the really heavy rain. Previous Griff was okay to.

The only real problem I had was some low life decided to key the car (not only mine but 6 others in the car park too). That and the fact you wash the car then the next day it's filthy again becuase it's rained!
