My speedo stopped working this morning,any ideas.....Griffith 500 rp

Refer to my thread on the Chimaera forum dated 21st May..... When i got mine fixed it cost much more than i expected and i was without the car for 3 weeks! I have looked through the history file for my car (early 93 chimaera) and it has had 2 replacement speedo's and numerous speedo repairs. The next time it fails I'm not sure I will rush to have it repaired.

The speedo on my Chimaera 450 stopped working a few weeks ago. It turned out to be the pickup sensor that needed replacing, about 40 pounds fitted as I remember. The sensor picks up on a castleated ring on the diff. I would start by cleaning it and adjusting the gap.
