Swan necks, silicone hosing and a bit of DIY

Hello Folks
I thought Griff owners might be interested to see the results of some engine bay DIY.
I stripped out the old hoses and replaced them with ACT silicone ones. While the cooling system was drained I took out the swan neck pipes feeding the top and bottom of the radiator and stripped them down and painted them up.
Also replaced HT leads with Magnecors.
Thanks Tim at ACT for spending time on the phone helping me work out what I needed.

How did you get on changing the one near the Plenum,a bit tight isnt it(unless you took the alternator off)
What sort of paint did u use Angus as mine need doing as they have a few bits off loose paint on.Is it just Hammerite.

It is not that tight - there was no need to take off the alternator. The ACT products are built using appropriate tooling so the hoses fit very well indeed. The only hassle with the job is getting off the old pipes (which tend to weld under the old jubillee clips) and draining and filling the cooling system.
Yes, was hammerite. You can paint the stuff straight onto rust if you like but an electric drill and a paint stripping wire head took the swan necks down to shiny bare metal quite quickly.
