My battery died on the weekend and I put a new one in - after a bit of a struggle to line up the bolt holes in the battery casing with the holes in the floor pan!

On top of the battery was a piece of electronic equipment which seemed to control the fuel supply (it had a Landrover sticker on it).

Most of the wires that came out of this box of tricks were not connected to anything. Is this becuase my Griff is missing something or do TVR use a loom that is designed for a car that needs all of these un-used connector blocks? My electrics seem to work OK so I guess its the latter - does anyone know for sure?

Leave it all alone.

If too late for that, put it back where it was.

Run widdershins three times round the car muttering the sacred mantra: I will not fcuk with TVR electrics...

Hope it all still works.

Mine has a few spare bits, I suspect thats how it is supposed to be (ie all the electrical stuff works).

As Manek says, if in doubt leave it out..

Thanks guys.

I had no intention of messing with it - I had to remove it (still connected) to get the battery out. I just wanted to know if all the unused connectors were redundant. I'll assume they are.

Cheers.

Yep, plenty of reduntant stuff down there. as well as other stuff that looks redundant but is in fact critical to car survival.

Going in there is a bit like cunnilingus. One slip and you're in the sh*t...as they say.

best left alone.
