Just changed the alternator and disconnected the battery beforehand to charge it up overnight. Everything is back together but when turn the ignition on the hazard warning lights start flashing, the fuel pump does not energize. The engine turns over fine but will not start (I guess because of the fuel pump). Sounds like an ECU problem - could this have been caused by disconnecting / re-connecting the battery ? Any suggestions welcome. Darren BTW - the alarm functions OK.

sounds more like an alarm /mmobiliser fault, try resetting it as per instructions
