Good luck pulling the bits of fibre glass out of your forearms when you've finished!

Midnight Blue - how did you get your trim off? I found the nut and bolt inside near the armrest, a self tapper behind the ashtray, but no screw near the lock that Steve Heath mentions.

The details in Steve's are not full & accurate. I did this job a few months ago as follows:- remove ashtray and speaker. remove a self tapper behind the ashtray. remove the two self tappers that hold on the door reflector (these go through the trim into the carpet panel). you then have to undo 3 nuts which are threaded onto studs from the armrest. one is just in front of the speaker hole, the other is in the centre of the armrest the other further into the door cavity. Take care not to lose these nuts ! You will also need small hands / long arms to remove the furthest nut inside the door. You should then be able to lift the trim panel up and away from the door. Remove the self-tappers holding the carpeted panel onto the door. You may also have to move or peel away some of the waterproofing material to gain access to the fixings. Good luck - it should take approx. 20-30 mins. Darren

It's very much as mowog says. I'd point out that the rear-most nut on the inside is very difficult to get at, the window lifter gets in the way! It's also worth noting that each of the three 10mm nuts has a large washer behind it. Try not to drop them into the door, they are essential, and will rattle like hell in the bottom of the door. If you do drop one, you can retrieve it with a magnet before refitting.
