While my Griff was being serviced in Blackpool I asked if they had the correct paint , as I was going to get the front end resprayed to remove the stone chips.
ICI supply the paint but have changed to a water based product from an oil based one. So the colour match could be out by 10%
My car is a 97 so not old , does anyone know where to get paint from or is it back to ICI and hope
thanks Simon

Take it to a place where the guy actually knows the colours' name (maybe even the code!!) and confidently tells you all about stuff relevant to the paint on your car (even if you fall asleep). TVR bodyshop (just outside) Bristol did that and i was hypnotised!! (didn't do nothin yet though...).
I had a tiny pot of touch up paint that they could've used to get a computer match but bloke said - oh Amazon green (porsche blue) and that convinced me.

You're right about TVR changing their paints around 97. It makes pain matching and blending really difficult, especially for some colours (most notoriously rosso pearl and the other reds).
Mine's red and in the end I was easily persuaded to go for a full respray. That said, Tom Horsburgh nr Guildford was fairly confident he'd be able to match the faded paint.
It's a serious one is this - I saw a part painted red Griff at Duxford last year and the doors mismatched the newly done nose cone so much it almost looked two-tone.
I'd go with Scruff's advice and talk to a paint technician like Tom. All he does is GRP work and so with him you'll get the best possible match.
