Mirror glass on the Griffith came loose & smashed against door this morning at speed. Made me jump - quite a bang! A few scratches too dammit. Anyone know if/where I can get a replacement bit of mirror instead of shelling out for a whole new unit ??

Try to find a citroen in a scrapyard. That would probably be cheapest.. Alternativly and Aston Virage but I expect that might be harder to find

Aston's higher in the alphabet so I'll start there... Anyone have experience in sticking it back on - any special bond perhaps?

If it's like the mirror on my old Chimp, there a rotating plastic cuff type arrangement. Mate the pieces up, waggle your finger round the back of the mirror and rotate the cuff into place. Voila!

Many thanks car pals - I can now reverse park again. For you information hoarders like myself (I keep a directory full of text documents containing 'highlight' from here - worth its weight in eGold) the Summit SRG part fitted perfectly & cost a measly £6. What I misses are all those heating elements gummed to the back. But hey, if the weather so bad that my mirrors ice up I'll drive my 20 year old Golf instead. Probably. Found the easy way to fit it was to attached the plastic cuff 1st to the housing, then double-sided tape the mirror on to the cuff last of all. Doddle! Thanks to Ewelme coachworks for guidance - they're terrific - end of advert.
