So, not enough interest in the Griffs to justify their own board anymore

Seeing as the cars share so many components it seemed a sensible rationalisation.

NOOOOOOO

What a down grade for us Chim owners, at least its
Chim and Griff i.e. the Chim comes first.
Ted why could you not merge the Griff board with its bigger sister the TR7

Aaaahhhhhh.....two sides of the same coin type of thing then, albeit the Chimaera is obviously the shinier side, the griff the grubbier then

Because he has already merged us with our little sister (oh dear that does not sound very PC).

Oh no, Ted.

Please tell us it was just a test and didn´t work.

Karmann Ghia and Beetle shared platform and engine as well, could you imagine dropping both into the same pot.
One a workhorse, the other a piece of art

I fear it had to be done otherwise the "Ariel" board would soon be overtaking the griff board in terms of interest and postings

First TVR stop making the car, and now the discussion thread has gone.

Next it is the Chim.....

Jeez Ted you sound like you just cruised in from the Scoobynet forum. The cars may share some components but the key one - the driver - is vastly different AS YOU WELL KNOW!!

Since there were about 4 Chimaeras built for every Griffith, the Griff forum had more postings pro rata.

(Chimp owners - go and look up 'pro rata'...)

Let's help them a bit - remember dictionary has four syllables:

Ted

I liked having the two separate forums for the two cars. When you have too many new posts in a day they fill more than one page and I tend not to look at them. With the combined forum this will happen much more. Can we have the two separate ones back please?

Ted,

Please can we have the two separate threads again?
Nothing against the Chim, but they are different cars, and are perceived differently, have their own character...

Oh go on, pleeeease!

You from East Angular? - I know your EVO Griff - looked great in the mag and really tempted me at the time . .

'You from East Angular?'

Yep - though for some reason my profile said 'United States' for a while!

'I know your EVO Griff - looked great in the mag and really tempted me at the time . . '

My 15 mins of fame, true. As readers of Sprint will know, the shoot was on 11/9/01 - so when I heard about the Twin Towers, I know I was in the carpark outside the studio!

K14 TVR is now alive and well and living in Berkshire.
