Wos that, then? The Proteus Bluebird - the land speed record breaker comes to mind?

(Edited to say: "that wasn't the 30s though was it". And "No, I'm not old enough to remember".)

Hmm, with unlimited funds,

1. Ferrari 365GTB/4 Daytona; preferably one of the few original RHD soft tops.

2. Lambo Miura SVJ

3. Griff 500

4. Monteverdi Hai 450SS, assuming one of the 2 made is still running.

5. Jaguar XJ220

Would have to be:
1/ TVR Cerbera

2/ Karman Ghia

3/ 1936 Bugatti Atlantic

4/ Tuscan Challenge. One of the best TVR's ever shame it never made it to the road

5/ Panoz LMP07 - for visual impact few other cars can touch it

Oh cheers Darren; you've just brought I tear to my eye with your No.1 choice; this was exactly the colour of my old beastie. A 4.5 in rosso pearlescent and those split alloys suit it so much better (IMHO) than the spiders from the Tuscan.

Gorgeous.
