Well not quite so new, but I hadn't got the piccies done for ages and after being a complete techno numpty and requiring the assistance of everyone I know who knows anything about IT here are the first pics of my new Griffith.

It is now 3700 miles and 1 track day in 4 1/2 weeks .... still love it to bits

















For the keen eyed amongst you will spot the floor carpets are missing. They were being cleaned and I forgot to put them back in.

Johno, she's an absolute beauty! (am I'm very jealous!).

How about replacing the window switches with ally ones and the steering wheel screws with ally ones...?

Be perfect then.. IMHO...

I am waiting for Xmas when hopefully the nice man Santa will bring me the full Leven column upgrade which changes all the stalks, wheel screws and wipe adjuster knob thingy in one go.

Will then probably do the windscreen air vents aswell and then it will be sorted.

I think I will leave the window switches as they are as they blend into the trans tunnel nicely...IMHO.

I don't much go for Griffs myself these days, johno....but your car is stunning.

See if you can get a go in one with steel pedals. IMHO they improve the driving more than ally switch covers and a quick go will convince you to go the pedal route first.

That said, in the end I had the lot on mine. Well worth it.

I totally agree about the metal pedals. I first need to get all the pedal at the same height. Once I am happy with the pedals heights I will be looking into which pedal set to buy. Why oh Why do people drive with all their pedals at different heights and how the hell does the dealer leave it like that !!!!!

The Leven pedals do look good, but they do not appear to allow the accelerator and brake to sit closely enough for a good heal and toe. Escpecially with my clumsy feet.

Do you use Level or someone elses ? Always anxious about buying the bolt on jobbies from Halfords ....

Mine were Leven ones. They do full size and half size pedals. So you can choose what you want and if your desire is to heel and toe, you can choose two fat pedals for your go and stop.

This does leave less space for your left foot to rest though (when cruising the autobahn at warp factor ludicrous).

1) Lovely car

2) The Leven pedals DO allow you to get the accelerator and brake very close together. The mounting spindle (?) on the pedals is offset, thus allowing you to choose between 2 degrees of closeness by turning the pedals though 180 degrees. (Does that make sense?) :Edited to say that you don't need the 'fat' pedals to do this. The skinny ones do just fine:

The Leven pedals on mine are VERY close together.

Incidentally, I deliberately have my pedals at different heights. I have my brake pedal set slightly higher than the accelerator. This is so that when the brake is depressed it is then closer to the height of the accelerator, making heel and toeing easier (for me anyway!).

On a track day I found my brake pedal biting point ended up a lot lower (new pads which needed bedding in, plus maybe a little air in the system). With the biting point of the pedal much lower than the accelerator it was a nightmare trying to H&T effectively. Fortunately a borrowed spanner sorted things out, and I readjusted them again when I had bled the brakes.

P.S. I'm in the process of changing my mirrors for the corrado style ones like yours - much prefer them to the Citreon/Jag XJ220 ones. Any chance of a closeup photo of the mounting block that the mirror stalk sits on? Ta.

P.S You need the full pedal set at around £120. I bought the cheaper ones originally, but they are just the 'plates' that you bolt through the existing pedals (which you have to drill yourself). The cheaper ones are a bit 'Halfords' if you know what I mean!

Think that might be an air vent me old bean.

She looks an absolute craker Johno and must say i am very Jealous of you.

Johno it looks like sex on wheels. Must buff up my green griff and get a decent digital camera - pick mine up tuesday with all the leven bits but must say black is back - I have your car as wallpaper now !! One last comment - if you were from Barnsley you would be a total 'tharse' with a car like that (I dont live there but trust me that's what they would say!!)
