Right rear CV joint has been slinging grease, but axle boot is not split, so anticipating I need to replace Joint & boot, but need to hear if this is a difficult job.
TVR is on a storage lift which makes it easier to get at. Looks like CV joint & axle boot kit is available for approx $100 USD from a few UK suppliers. What are the R&R steps involved? Special tools needed? Tips?

Have a look in the chimeara section.
There's a really good how to there. It'll be the same for a Griffith.

if its an outboard CV joint dont get this confused with a failed rear wheel bearing seal scratchchin due to over-packing or just wear N tear

Thank you for the replies: can someone point me to steps / how to replace that rear wheel bearing seal....and where to best get a replacement?

That's not a "five minute job" !

You don't want to be changing that unless it is definitely the problem. Wheel bearing grease and CV joint grease are very different but you'll need someone experienced to tell you which they think it is.
I'd be inclined to clean it all up and monitor, try and work out for sure where it is coming from.

Thxs Phillpot! The rear axle seal sounds like a more involved job... and possibly the problem versus the CV Joint.
So I'm planning on removing the half shaft & CV joint on that side and seeing if the CV joint is "worn" , boot torn, etc as I've already ordered the CV joint & boot kit.
Then while I'm in there with the CV and axle out, I can clean the housing and see if the rear bearing seal is the issue.
If it is the seal, then I can potentially return the CV Joint & boot kit ( or keep it as I'll likely need it sooner or later. ...)
More to come and I'll post it as it evolves on PistonHeads...
