Ive just fitted a new camshaft to my Griff 500, Ive checked the main and big end bearings and all good….Ive retorqued the bolts ,but now I’m thinking perhaps I should have replaced them with new, Ive been seeing some conflicting reports about this. Any opinions ?? I have new stretch bolts for the heads though.

Don't think you will get a definitive answer. Some say if they are angle tightened for the final stage they are stretch bolts and should not be reused.
Others just re use them.

It’s a difficult one, one of the main TVR engine builders said that I can reuse the standard studs, I think for piece of mind I will get new big end studs.

Id be inclined to believe them but its up to you really, you will get even more confused if you look online for a definitive answer.
No harm in replacing if your in there though in my opinion for peace of mind and what they cost in the grand scheme of things.

At the risk of offending, it's a really old Rover engine. Further back than that if you look. It will be absolutely fine providing they were not damaged looking, clean and torqued correctly and in the correct order .

I have rebuilt a few TVR engines with my son Rover types and TVR's own . The Rover unit is really simple and forgiving.
