Other than the top picture all three below that are running later Ecu and ignition systems using coil packs, trigger wheels etc.
In answer to your question yes.
Better reliability, better use of advance ignition and fuelling equalling more power where you need and use it all though overall hp won’t increase very much.
On my Chim using later Ecu I have more torque and better throttle control = linear power curve.
As I had mine mapped using cat and it’s emissions are low to the point one MOT chap ( non TVR experience ) considered it must be running lean.
This was based on his experience of older RV8 based cars presumably operating on CUX.
I started my car for the first time in over a year yesterday and it instantly fired up and ran clean and smooth as it’s ever done.
If it’s a keeper and you feel the cars worth the investment it’s possibly the best work you can have done for longevity similar to a complete body off chassis repair.
All in my humble opinion of course but for me later Ecu transform the car in a way few other mods can.

I don’t remember noticing a serp setup without a tensioner before, interesting to see.
It’s a John Eales alternator bracket with a small rose jointed adjusterhttps://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Hadn’t seen one installed in a long time.
