Mystery earth lead

Mystery Earth lead.
The nearside earth tag under the whale tail has several earths grounded.
Most are large cables but one is a thin tinned braid does any kind soul know what this thin braid earths?
The reason I ask is that it severed while lifting the body.

I don't know if it carried on to the Griffith but the S Series cars had a fine alluminium mesh glued under the centre console ( little thicker than cooking foil), to reduce radio interference?
Could it be the earth for that?

Thanks Philpot you could well be correct , I will look further.

Its been a long haul Body off, 6 months to date and the suspension. brakes etc. still to bolt on. Its surprising how much one forgets when putting stuff back together, a good job I took a lot of snaps.
