Dampers recommendation

My 1994 Griff 500 is on the original dampers and the rear end doesn't feel as planted as i would expect. I guess 30 yeas has passed so no complaints.

What can people recommend for a mid-range road use damper ?

I've just had 2 rear shocks and springs fitted on my 500. They are Protech's. Ride hight, bump and rebound adjustable.
£400 the pair.
