Hey,

Seeking the wisdom here. My driver side door opener often sticks down, so I often have to lift it up. presumably it is sprung somehow and perhaps the spring has gone?

Just noticed your post.

Have you tried getting some oil into the button 'housing'?
Maybe take off the B post trim and check the mechanism and its action - likewise, the mech' will probably benefit from some lubrication.

The button and alloy housing are seperate to the lock/lock rod below. The part you press is located into the body shell part by a grub screw. The grub screw extends through the shell part and the press has a groove that allows sliding but not rotation. To service the pair, release the grub screw and the press 'should' simply pull up and away. Remove, clean and polish the press and tube, then replace, locating it with the grub screw using loctite (only a little, so the grub screw does not come loose but with none in the shell part/press). The rod below is connected to the door mech and falls to one side and you will need to help align it centrally into the press by lifting the carpet cover by popping the seat forward and maybe removing the door seal. Grease that attracts road dirt should not be used, clean is good, wiped with a light oil. A@
