Hi as I spend 3 months a year out of the country my poor Griff has been in the garage unused.
Now I'm back and wanting to drive it would it be OK to just take the plug leads off and crank the engine over to get oil pressure or what do you guy's suggest?
Cheers

Hi, on my precat I used to disconnect the fuel pump relay in the footwell to avoid any fuel being pumped through when cranking, then reconnect and start when I had oil pressure

Hi my Griffith aaa 1999 500.
I've tried removing the fuse to the fuel pump but then it won't turn over!
On all my previous cars I've just removed the spark plugs but this seems to be quite a difficult operation on the Griff.
Cheers

There should be 2 relays in the Footwell, they may be silver in colour or brown.
One is the fuel pump, the other is the main relay.
If you remove both I'm pretty sure the engine will still crank.

3 months isn’t very long. I’d just start the thing.

Agreed, some cars are off the road for the winter for at least three months and are able to just be started.
