Oh yes - come to papa!

Today me and the missus had our second test drive in a Tuscan, and oh boy, was it a bit different to the first! The first one was two weeks ago on the first day we've had rain in about a month. The roads were greasy as hell and to bring home the point on the drive we saw two boy-racer types off the road - one in a hedge the other in a field. Someone was paying attention to the change in road conditions then... Upshot of all this was that the test drive was very short and very tame. Didn't stop me enjoying it though and coming back for more
Today's was a very different story - dry and sunny and, just for laughs, we were taken out by TMS's Griffith race drive, Paul. Traffic was fairly light and the route nice and varied - good long straights to demonstrate the truly staggering acceleration, and nice twisty bits to show that TVRs can go round corners without losing it I went out first and Paul put the car through its paces just to give me an idea of its capabilities - and very impressive they were too. Even though I should have been terrified as was too busy grining like an idiot. After the changeover I got to have a play. The power of these things is mind-boggling, yet they're just as happy pootling round in traffic. This is one of potential worries I had: that a Tuscan just would be too much hard work on a work run. Glad to see how misplaced that concern was Returned to TMS with a flip-top-head grin and watched to missus head off wondering how she'd get on. She's a very good driver but not too happy as a passenger. I had visions of her coming back threatening divorce if I even mentioned TVRs again but glad to say she came back looking somewhat dazed but still grinning. At that point the only question left was 'what colour?'
Took up longer to decide on the colour that to take both test drives, but in the end we got there. There's now a Moonraker Black Tuscan with a red interior sitting in TMS with our name on it. All we need to do now is finalise everything and get he paperwork sorted!
