Hi everyone,
After searching the archives and not finding the answer, i hope anyone of you can shed some light on the subject.
I want to change the gearbox oil on my 1993 (cat) Griffith 4.3 with SD1 box. After reading and speaking to many people who have a better understanding of the subject, i dont know what oil to take. Many speak of ATF oil, others suggest a synthetic quality gearbox oil. The people from RPI engineering suggest Castrol SMX, on the Castrol site i saw that there is also a Castrol SMX-S fully synthetic version of this oil.
Wich of the two should i choose, if any ??
I'm open to suggestion, please let me know what you think.
