9.30am this morning I'm now TVRless for 4-6 weeks.
My car was delivered to powers performance early afternoon and won't be the same again.
I'm reassured by powers and fellow PH members my car will be much better.
(A new battery made a huge difference last week).
Can't wait to go pick it up!!

9.30am (I was tempted to put a sign in the rear window saying 'i haven't broken down. I'm going to be even better).

1.30pm....
In good company....

Hi Harvy can I just ask who did you use to get your Griff up to power performance.

Sure, he's a friend of mine. He picked it up from Dover in Kent to Powers in Coventry for £300 all in.
He's very experienced with not only classic cars but also super dooper high end sports cars.

His flatbed is so short! The Griff hardly fits on. There seems to be some bits of old pillow or something to stop the nose hitting the bulkhead at the back of the cab.

How does he recover anything with that thing? A Griff is so short compared with modern cars. A Polo is much longer for example.

? What do you mean? The car easily fitted on the truck. I took the picture before he put the securing straps on the rear wheels. There was no cushion or blanket etc.
He can carry 2.5 tonnes. Griffith = small car at just over 1 tonne.

Don't worry Harvy - it's only Lucy up to his/her negative whinging again, just trying to upset anyone who will react.

Hi Harvy
Thats a very good price any chance you could give me his number?
I'm looking at getting my Griff up to power performance and don't fancy the long drive up there.
I'm in Bexley Kent.

How to ruin a cool thread from a new owner at what must be a very exciting time in this gentleman’s TVR story.
BIGAL sort this out!

I think you have chosen well.
My car has a Powers built engine and MBE Ecu.
It’s top quality work and so reliable.
Should be fast too wink

I look forward to seeing good results.

I think the misunderstanding is more a case of not understanding or not knowing what your looking at. Engage brain before thinking/typing. (Didn't).
I'm by far not upset.
When my car comes back it will be MUCH better all round. Be what I want it to be. To be reliable. To look nice, to sound nice, to stop, start and go like the clappers.
I'm old enough and ugly enough to have worked by behind off & now can realise a life long dream. I've earned it I think.
Bonus, my Mrs likes it. Knows what it's costing and still loves me. Lol.
I'm sooooo looking forward to going and picking it up. (After powers have finished it's going to central Tvr for a new carpet set and change the carpet sections of the door panel to matching magnolia leather..

And funnily enough my car was painted by Central Tvr
A very good job they did of it too.
10 years later it’s still marvellous other than some scratches caused by someone rubbing past with a heavy bag or rucksack in a car park space !
Powers are my local Tvr centre so all the work I’d not undertake myself has been by them over the years.
I’ve never been able to fault any of the work and my cars never broke down on the road in over 40,000 miles use in that time. Both engine and bodywork was done within the first two years of my ownership so they have been well tested.
Edited to add ( ego) biggrin
My car also posted what at the time in 2016 was the 29th fastest 1/4 mile drag time on our own TVR leaderboard so that must mean it’s one of the fastest TVR “ in the world” laugh

Your in good hands.

Be aware that Central TVR moved to smaller premises in 2021. They contract out the painting, it's no longer done in-house, only servicing and re-trimming.
