Sat in my 92 griff and started it up and noticed that the ignition light was randomly flashing but very faintly had the alternator serviced all ok and the amp meter is fine but today when I started it up I noticed that the interior light was flashing in time with the ignition light rev up engine and it's still there but if I turn on the side light it stops any one had a similar problem

You can maybe start by checking how is the big 100A fuse on the chassis. If it is cracked this can make the ignition light glow a bit or flashing.

Early Griffs didn’t have the 100A fuse. Mines May 92 and no fuse.
Apparently these weren’t fitted until 95/96.

Maybe have a look at the engine grounds.

Indeed early ones do not have this fuse.
This is weird if the light is on and the alternator is fine. Check the signal from the alternator as DRV V8 mentioned. But why would it affect the interior light?
Else have you checked how healthy is the battery?

On some cars it isn't.
I don't believe many production cars have one.
No excuse I know but it was added to protect in the event of alternator shorts.
