I'll double check on mine tomorrow in daylight but I think they may be for the lambda sensors.
Since (if your profile's car photo is correct) you have an early pre-cat, these connections may not be used at all with no catalytic converter. TVR used a Range Rover loom mostly but on your car, they may be redundant.
