Just trying to fix my washers, and can’t for the life of me figure out how they are attached to the wipers, the tubing comes up the outside of the wiper, and bends back on itself down to the bottom of the wiper, and the tubes have two little plastic stoppers in them, and that’s why they weren’t working, I took them out and now water flows, but in the wrong place! I’m baffled as to how these things are suppose to be fixed to the wipers, and why the plastic stoppers?

confused

Those 'bent tubes' that are attached to the wiper arms should have small holes along the length which are the actual washe jets.
If these are blocked then that's your issue... Clean them out with a small (1mm) drill bit and you should be fine!!

Thanks, I’ll check the holes, although I don’t remember seeing any.
It passed its MOT recently, so they must have been working then, this is weird.

Do not forget to replace the stoppers or there will be no pressure to allow the water out of the holes. A@

Can you hear the pump running when you try the washers?

If you can then remove the hose from the pump and see if you have flow there.

Regarding the holes in the tube they are really fine, easily missed, I'd clear them with a safety pin or similar.

Hope this helps

OP stated that he had flow from the end of his spray bars...

Don’t worry, I’ve put them in a safe place, which is not easy in our garage!
Yes, pumps are fine, it has to be the holes.
I’m of an age now, and health, where working on the car is out, everything but the most accessible and easy things, and I’m finding this terrible loss of confidence regarding even the most basic jobs, years ago I’d have taken a car apart at the side of the road and fixed things, not now.

On my car, the flexy pipe with holes in it wasn't original, it was some floppy plastic thing with holes pushed in it all over the place. frown

So I binned it, bought a couple of clip on jets and some rubber tubing and put better ones on, all for under a tenner. The jets were this sort:

You may prefer to get something not from China, and I think (scratchchin) the rubber tubing was 4mm.

That’s a good idea, thanks, the tubing on my car is perished in places, so it’s due for replacement anyway.
