Windscreen replacement
Discussion
Having a Griff myself, it's fortunate that the Chimaera screen is the same. It makes availability possible.
Motaclan seem a good resource for this, Racetech, Powers and others don't stock them. But you'd want to claim for it on a fully comp insurance policy, they're £810 inc. VAT.

IT's listed in the catalogue twice which may be an error, or there are 2 types available with or without the top tint.
Central TVR may have some in stock if you asked nicely, because they do full restorations of both regularly.
There's always second hand from breakers such as Douglas Valley or NE Salvage:

Thanks for the replies chaps
Mine is only delaminating a bit at the bottom on the passenger side, so, luckily it's not essential...
I'll have to check with my insurance on what the excess might be if I ever needed one, being in the US it might get a bit pricey I think...

You could order a heated screen from ricky bobby motoosport - not really https://www.heatedwindscreen.com/
If your not in a hurry, as it cures the issue with demisting the screen. Just need a timer relay and switch to activate - Ford's of the same era had these or you could spec from the CBS brochure.
Of course if you only drive in the dry then not a mod of value [to you].

Hi JonTribe
Was wondering if you got anywhere with sourcing a windscreen replacement to the US. Mine just cracked today (I had a chip repair already scheduled for a couple weeks out but the car couldn't wait I guess...), maybe we can work this together if you haven't arranged something already. Not sure where in the US you're located, I'm in Seattle so probably not nearby. You can email me through my profile and we can take this off the forums if you'd prefer.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew
I'm a new recruit to TVR ownership. I brought my Griff from UK and got it shipped across to Baltimore.
My screen is suffering from delamination, so not an urgent issue. I was really just after confirmation on availability 'just in case'.
Unfortunately it does look to be a bit expensive to get one purchased and shipped over here.
I suppose your insurance not interested in a claim?

I'm with Hagerty insurance who will pretty much pay anything without complaint, thankfully, I was just curious regarding sourcing of a replacement. However if I can save on some cost that would be nice, especially with shipping to the US. Thanks for following up, hope your windscreen doesn't get any further damage.
