I was at CCA auction viewing today and apart from orange-peel paint on the Griffith (and slight iffy use of alcantara), rolleyes I spotted something I've not noticed before, and I've had TVRs on and off for over 20 years. The bodywork appeared to have been modified just below the hood in the boot top gutter. I took a photo of one and marked it but there was one equidistant the other side too. Is it an additional air vent? I noticed that rear speakers had been mounted in the original rear vents:

It was a 1998 Griff, I don't have them on my 1999 one.

Hi Sixor8,
My 92 Griff has these vents from factory so it’s not a mod by previous owner.

That's interesting, thanks. I'd not noticed them before. I've had a look at the Griffs for sale in the classifieds and I can only see them on a few models, perhaps 1998 was the last year they did it? scratchchin

It didn't sell by the way, this 1998 model, top bid was £21,500. It's still 'available' on CCA for £27,500.

Not noticed that before on my 96 500, I'm gonna have to check.

Edit.

15 years and I'm still finding out things ,yes I have those vents fitted and never noticed before.

Now still to understand the heating controls , one day, one day.

I have noticed these before and wondered as my 99 Griff does not have them.
