Ignition light on when cars not!

Hi, can anyone help. My griff 500 1999 year is just out of storage, had new battery fitted and starts ok etc. only issue is that the battery ignition waning light is now on all the time even when the ignition is off and no key even in it?
Starts up ok and warning light goes out but stop, turn engin e off, remove key and it stays on again?
Central locking dose t seem to be working from key fob either but guessing that may be an unrelated issue… or maybe not!
Any ideas on what to look at first would be appreciated!

I think this may be an alternator fault, as in the diode pack?

For that light to be on, it must be receiving a 12v supply from the battery somehow, others may know better?

I'd agree it sounds like a faulty Alternator.
It may discharge your battery if it is so just be aware of that.

100amp fuse ok ?

I had a cracked 100A fuse on a previous Chimaera, but it only caused the red charging lamp to glow dimly when the car was running.

Absolutely this, I had identical fault last year.
