Looking for OE quality supplier - suggestions please smile

Hoping to fit repair kit from footwell to avoid irksome master cylinder removal - Rubber boot and circlip easy to remove? DOT 4.1?

Car sat years and 20k good clutch rusted then master cylinder failed - so replacing both t get good pressure on clutch and hope it pops free with running in gear on stands and hitting brakes - better ideas?

thks

Not aware that different cylinders were fitted to the different engine sizes (or between the Chimp or Grief). So assuming the factory set up, replacements from whatever TVR Parts are called nowadays should be fine. You may want to try Powers or Racetech for alternative postal suppliers.

No idea what the access is like to change 'insitu'. Knowing TVR, I'll go arwful unless you have baby hands and an extra joint in you arms.

I wouldn't use DOT4.1

Decent quality DOT 4 or 5.1 - whatever you are going to use to flush and fill the perished brake fluid. Which means you only need to carry one pot as a spare biggrin

I did this a couple of months back, used a seal kit from Merlin Motorsport. It's certainly possible in situe, I removed the seat and steering wheel for extra space but it's dsomewhat dependent on how big or flexable you are.

Just let the engine run and really heat up while on axle stands and if you are lucky it will free itself without hitting the brakes. This avoids quite a shock to your transmission.

You can replace the clutch master cylinder via the hatch in the engine compartment. Doing through the footwell would be a much bigger job
