My Griffith drained the battery dead overnight and I didnt know why. I do remember the indicators / alarm flashing unusually on the dash but had no reason to know why. After trailering the car to my TVR specialist he said i had left the side lights on?
The lights may have been activated during my frantic search why the dash light was flashing, but otherwise no reason for them to be on anyway. Fitted new battery and checked all electrics for leaks but nothing found.
I just thought that would the alarm / indicator dash lights and flashing sound (as if the hazzards were activated) telling me the side lights were still on after removing the key?
does anyone have any ideas?

Indicators flashing may indicate an alarm fault but I can't see any other reason for it if you didn't physically turn anything on.
Just monitor it now the battery is good, consider using a battery maintainer too for longevity if you can.

Unfortunately no one tells you the lights are left on without the key. I remember in the 80s, as you walk away always look back at your car! If you have checked residual current drain and it looks okay (20 milliamperes or so) then I wouldn’t worry.
