Hi everyone,

Has anyone got any photographs of the passenger side headlight void in a 99 ish Griffith 500, with the light pod removed?

I'looking to find and replace the thermistor, but I haven't managed to find the connector in the loom yet. The Chimera seems to have the sensor in a slightly different place.

Photographs are better than 100's of words...

Regards,

Brian

Hi. Replaced mine couple of years ago 96 model. It was in the loom by the LH horn.

Thanks Dave,

I found a multiplug laid in the bottom there, didn't seem to have anything plugged into it, I'll have another rummage around in that area and look more closely now I know I'm looking in the correct area...

Glad to be of help. Probably wouldn't remove a headlamp to find it as from experience it's a big job. Dave.

Hi Dave,

found it...

I was expecting a 2 pin plug/socket (seen photographs on previous posts), it looks like someone (possibly TVR) have made efforts to protect the sensor from the elements using heat shrink sleeving. I've disconnected the thermistor and connected the wires together and the light on the dashboard is now behaving itself again (it was red permanently)

Replecement on order from Motoclan.

Regards,

Brian

PS for scale, the "disk" is around 6mm in diameter

Excellent, glad you have found it. Probably experienced most issues on the Griff in the last 19 years. Anything I can help with give me a shout. Regards. Dave.
